Boosting Facebook ads that (actually) link to your company website

One of the dangerous aspects of Facebook's "meta" business ad platform is they make it really easy to spend money on boosting posts and other types of ads that keep people confined within Facebook's ecosystem.  The purpose of this post is to demonstrate how to make a Facebook ad that actually promotes one of the pages on your company website, rather than boosting a standard Facebook post, page, etc.

Procedure:

  1. Log into Facebook account associated with the Business page
  2. Click on your profile picture in the upper right to expand the menu
  3. Choose "Meta Business Suite" from the menu
  4. Click "Create Ad" -> Create an ad from scratch -> Get More website visitors
  5. In the "Create new ad" screen, enter the ad description, headline, media, button label, and website URL
  6. Fine tune your ad targeting and daily budget
  7. Publish ad!

Bonus:
Review your ad's performance, adjust and repeat.
